Our property is located in Ypres, Flemish Region, Belgium.
Ypres has 35,000 inhabitants and is the most important tourist city of our region.
Ypres offers you the charm of the medieval past but also the many memories of turbulent warfare.
Ypres is also the ideal base for cycling or for a nice walk along the North Sea coast.

Ideal cycling holiday
Our home is a good base for 15 wonderful cycle paths.
These cycle paths explore the green belt around Ypres as well as the surrounding area,
some focus on nature, others focus on the war front region and the war cemeteries.
The paths are guided and range from 20 to 100 km.
Theme routes and cycle node network maps are available for free.
Visit the art festival in Watou
Since 2009, the art festival in Watou is organized every year. Poets and visual artists, impetuous talent and established values, works of art from Belgium and abroad form a special arts trail. Watou is located 22 km from our property. If you prefer to leave the car behind and enjoy cycling, you can rent bicycles in the vicinity and combine interest in nature and art.Passing through Ypres ?
Are you just to pass through and you want to visit Ypres? Our home is only 1.5 km away from the historical center. The memory of the Great War is kept alive in one of the museums or on the historic sites. The medieval character of Ypres can be experienced in the cosy centre or on the ramparts. Explore the charming self-catering services and outdoor terraces around the cathedral and the marketplace.
Visit Sint Sixtus Abbey in Westvleteren
The Sint Sixtus abbey is 12 km from our home. In the meeting center "In Peace" you can taste the trappist of Westvleteren. In 2005, the trappist beer "Westvleteren Twelve" was listed Best Beer in the World. In the information center "The Claustrum" you can meet the abbey life and the brewery and the daily rituals of the Sint Sixtus patrons. In an interactive way, the history of the brewery is presented and you can follow the beer process.
Cat Parade in Ypres
The cats festival guarantees a spectacle with various new floats, giants, bands, theatre and dance groups. There will also be evocation of the cat throughout history, the cat in language and legend, the cat around the world and Ypres as a historic city. Surprising background activities makes the event even more enthralling.

We offer you two spacious and well-appointed rooms, a modern bathroom with toilet, a private kitchen and living room,
all with the necessary comfort for the guest
(sitting room with TV, kitchenette with microwave, fridge, electric range, ... and free tea and coffee making facilities).
If you only need 1 room, we will block the second room so to guarantee your privacy !
On the reservation request you can choose between "the blue room", "the red room" or "both rooms”.
Each room accomodates a spacious springbox bed for 2 people (1.60 x 2.00 m).
We can provide a (free) cot on request.

FAQ 1 = Is there a minimum number of days stay?There is no minimum number of days stay.
FAQ 2 = What is the maximum number of people?
You can book for up to 4 people. To do this, you will request the reservation of the "red" and "blue" room together. Each room has a double bed.
If you only come with 2 people, choose the "red" or the "blue" room. In this case, we block the second room so that you have the privacy of the accommodations.
If you want to come with 2 people but still want separate rooms, you also choose the "red" and "blue" rooms together.
FAQ 3 = Are there bicycles for rent or available?
There are bicycles for hire at bicycle stores near our home.
We provide theme routes and maps for the cycling node network. They are offered free of charge to our guests.
FAQ 4 = Is there special tourist tax?
The tourist tax is included in the stated price.
FAQ 5 = What amenities are available in the room?
All guest room amenities and comfort facilities are available in the room and the bathroom (fresh linen, bath towels, shampoo, body soap, bath robe, hair dryer, ...)

Check-out until 11:00.
Breakfast between 7.30 and 10.00 (other to be agreed).
